Corporate Protection Australia’s management team ensure that the policies and decisions of the board of directors are implemented and maintained to the highest degree of integrity.

CRAIG HOLZBERGER – Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager Craig Holzberger joined Corporate Protection Australia in January 2006 and has over 6 years experience in regulated maritime security.

Prior to joining CPA, Craig came from the aviation sector where he was the Screening Services Manager for the service provider at the Brisbane International Terminal in this role he managed 160 staff conducting passenger and baggage screening and trace detection. He also worked within one of Australia’s largest security firms as the Divisional Manager for Maritime and General Guarding Queensland and was extensively involved with the application of the Maritime legislation at various Port of Brisbane Facilities.

Craig has a Certificate IV Work Place Training and Assessment, Port Facility Security Officers Certificate, Maritime Security Guard, Certificate II Security Guarding, Senior First Aid, Internal Quality Audit Certificate, Safety Management with Audit training, and is trained in all facets of Aviation Passenger Screening including Explosive Trace Detection, and Screening Passengers and Baggage. Craig is also a holder of a current Maritime Security Identity Card (MSIC).

GRANT DOYLE – Training Manager

Grant has many years experience in operational leadership roles including 20 years decorated service in the Australian Army. Serving as a military commander and supervisor this experience has allowed him the opportunity to hone his leadership skills and experience. He was subsequently involved in training recruits, soldiers and officers in leadership and small team dynamics.

Since leaving the service in 2006 he has been conducting development programs and coaching assignments with corporate individuals and teams, as well as extensive experience in the fields of human resources project management and training.

Grant joined the CPA team as the Training Manager and continues to develop the areas of structural change, staff development, and build the training component of CPA.

KURT BUTWELL – Senior Security and Risk Advisor - Critical Infrastructure

Kurt Butwell joined CPA in November 2004 where his skills were utilised to run the security operations at the BHP Yabulu refinery project. CPA’s role has been to design, implement and run the daily operations of all security operations including traffic management, safety management including breath testing of all employees and working closely with the Occupational Health and safety team in the identification and management of safety risks on site. Kurt has also been an integral member of the Site Emergency Response Team since its inception and chaired the site HSEC committee.

Prior to joining CPA, Kurt was a Maritime Security Guard working within the Port of Brisbane precinct. Kurt oversaw the implementation of the supply of Maritime Security Guards to Perkins Shipping in Townsville and since returning to Brisbane has been involved with the local maritime environment. In addition he has been heavily involved in the Consultancy, Project Management, and Implementation of security at major projects throughout the mining, construction and maritime sectors.

Kurt has a Certificate IV Work Place Training and Assessment, Certificate II Security Guarding, Port Facility Security Officer, Maritime Security Guard, Occupational First Aid (Advanced Airway and Defibrillation), Workplace Health & Safety Officer, Certified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, Generic Coal Mine Inductions – Surface & Underground, Mine Supervisors Certificate (QMS 1 ,2 ,3), undertaken DU Pont Safety Systems for Project and Construction Managers, actions employees can take, 30681QLD Drug and Alcohol Screener and an accredited Workplace Drug and Alcohol Screening Trainer.

CAMERON MYNOTT – Senior Security and Risk Advisor - Maritime

Cameron became a member of the NSW Police Force in 1997, during his career he was involved in the risk assessment and mitigation strategies for personnel and infrastructure surrounding the movements of numerous dignitaries most notably that of the Prime Minister of Australia and the President of the United States, as well as high profile events including the 2000 Olympic games. Cameron was a member of both covert and overt operations designed to assess and mitigate a wide variety of risks from local criminal elements to international terrorism threats.

Since joining Corporate Protection Australia in 2008 Cameron has undergone intensive training in the maritime sector. He has been a consultation team member in a number of high profile Maritime Industry Participant risk assessments, as well as auditing and developing numerous Maritime Security Plans for Ports, Port Facilities and Port Service Providers throughout Australia.

ALONSO VARGAS – Chief Financial Officer

Alonso joined Corporate Protection Australia in 2008 with a wealth of financial experience in a range of accounting and managerial roles. Alonso began developing his accounting skills in 2005 whilst working for Price Waterhouse Coopers, before furthering his career within CPA.

Alonso is responsible for the day to day financial affairs of the company including the payroll of over 140 staff.

Alonso has both a Commerce and Business degree from the University of Canberra, a Graduate Diploma in Chartered accounting and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
