MARITIME SECURITY

“AUSTRALIA’S ECONOMIC FUTURE AND WAY OF LIFE DEPENDS ON MARITIME SECURITY”

Australia’s economic future and way of life depends on Maritime Security - from patrolling our vast coastline to ensuring the efficient movement of goods and services.

MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS

In response to increased threats from international terrorism, the Federal Government established the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (MTOFSA) – with which all maritime organisations must comply.

Non-compliance on any front could seriously disadvantage a port’s national and international trading interests and potentially expose affiliated facility operators and service providers to financial and operational risk.

Additionally, maritime insurers have advised operators that failure to abide by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) ISPS Code requirements could prevent them from obtaining cover for their assets and operations.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

Corporate Protection Australia are specialists in Maritime Security and are ideally placed and equipped to provide a comprehensive range of MTOFSA compliant security services. We know the legislation in detail – key CPA personnel were intimately involved in the development of the MTOFSA in consultation with DoTaRs.

CPA’s management and staff know the industry, having successfully managed security operations at key Australian ports since 1997. This has covered a period of the greatest industrial turmoil and change in Australian maritime history.

CPA specialises in the maritime industry. We offer custom-made security protection solutions regardless of your size, scale or location.

WATERSIDE CAPABILITY

Corporate Protection Australia [CPA] offers a full complement of maritime security legislative compliant services to port, port facilities and port service providers across Australia.

This suite of products and services incorporates the operation of patrol craft, and supply of qualified coxswains to various industry participants throughout Australia.

In support of this service CPA maintains an on call, purpose built vessel for use by Australian maritime industry participants to enhance, and comply with their security and safety regimes.

This vessel is a 5.95 metre Swift Marine Sea Ranger Rigid Inflatable, which is the same as that used extensively by the Queensland Water Police, Queensland Boating and fisheries, as well as various other state and federal government authorities. The RHIB has been used during test events and as a patrol boat for various Ports. This vessel is available to provide additional capability to the facility should the need arise.
